Masjidil Haram in Arabic means the mosque that owns the forbidden land. why is it called haram land, the scholars say because in this land there are various provisions that forbid us to do various things, such as hunting, taking up weapons, breaking plants and also haram for infidels to enter. This mosque is a mosque located in the center of the city of Mecca which is considered a holy place for Umay Islam. This mosque is also the main destination in the pilgrimage.

This mosque was built around the Kaaba which is the Qibla direction for Muslims in performing prayers. This mosque is the largest mosque in the world. The total area of ​​​​this mosque is 356800 m2 (3841000 sq ft) with the ability to accommodate 820,000 worshipers during the Hajj season.
